Radix Weekly
Previously: Gary campaigned publicly for transparency on ex-RDX token holdings, Emma's hUSDC tracker mapped 360,851 hUSDC to 79 accounts, and NOWNodes dropped Radix support.
A tense, tired week with real progress underneath. The recovered USDC grew to 419K and council nominations finally started stacking up, but bleak sentiment about Radix's direction and a trolling spree tested the room's patience. Gary's RDX Works update and Jelthebest's buyback idea kept transparency front and centre.
Gary's RDX Works update: still TBD
Gary reported the ex-RDX token situation remains unresolved due to 'chaotic circumstances' — the directors are mid-transition, 'basically getting fired' — with clarity expected by week's end. He urged members to stop relying on saviors and let the DAO run the show once things settle.
USDC recovery pushes forward
Andy.XRD confirmed 419K USDC recovered last week with 24.7K still stuck on the Solana route. After three days with Prime Vault and Hyperlane, he's continuing recovery efforts — though Hyperlane advised against returning the recovered funds until the rest is sorted.
RAC election field fills out
√Mr. Peanutbutter 🇫🇷 counted six candidates so far — @R_DIX_NL, Seboool, gilesmorris, linuxx, Leonets and rahkyt — with potentially two more from the transition RAC. XRD82 raised the D&O insurance question, which √Mr. Peanutbutter 🇫🇷 said is under discussion with the MIDAO organism.
Should the DAO buy the bag?
Jelthebest floated that instead of one individual buying RDX's XRD holdings, the DAO could buy them back with its stables so the tokens are 'in all our hands' — potentially to sell to future partners or grant to builders.
Radix in decline or rebuilding?
Sir Drape Yird argued the network is in slow decline with scalability never implemented, while Daniel defended the community-run model and Seböööl and Bayesien insisted builders are working at full speed. A determined troll sapped the room's energy before Daffy warned of mutes and bans.
- GENKIPOOL noted ISO 20022 bank messaging isn't used on Radix yet and likely won't be until there's sufficient liquidity and a stablecoin.
- Alexey criticized the Radix Wallet for requiring manual typing of every seed-phrase word during setup and restoration.
- Seböööl noted the idOS Gateway was live on Radix but shut down when RDX Works wound down, and questioned its real MiCA compliance use.

Said the ex-RDX token situation is still TBD amid chaotic director transitions, expects clarity by week's end, and urged the community to stop waiting for saviors.
Warned a repeat troll that continued discouragement of builders and holders would mean a one-week mute, then a ban; also explained the wallet's balance display has been off since the Hyperlane bridge halted.
Reintroduced Radix Seal and shared the Proof of Personhood launch; said ISO 20022 bank messaging likely won't arrive until there's sufficient liquidity and a stablecoin.
Tallied six election candidates, said D&O insurance is under discussion with MIDAO, and noted the community is waiting on the whale situation and a full RAC slate.
Six so far — @R_DIX_NL, Seboool, gilesmorris, linuxx, Leonets and rahkyt — with potentially two more from the transition RAC.
The dev room was quiet this week; main chat carried the technical threads, including GENKIPOOL's community explorer dashboard upgrades and a discussion of idOS's real MiCA compliance use after the RDX Works wind-down.
El ánimo: Weary but not defeated — frustration over transparency delays and the stuck bridge runs alongside real recovery progress and a slowly filling election slate.
